Monoqool // Cool architecture – Cool glasses

Cool architecture – Cool glasses
The Fall 2023 campaign for Monoqool

Masunaga Optical

Monoqool – the innovative Danish eyewear brand – chose one of the most unique pieces of architecture in Copenhagen as the backdrop for the Fall 2023 campaign. The Gemini Residence is a series of luxury apartments on the harbourfront in Copenhagen designed by renowned Dutch architect firm MVRDV. The complex originally consisted of 2 round buildings for the storage of plant seeds.

The two buildings are hollow inside, and the strong black and white design lines create a very unique atmosphere, which will blow the minds of any visitors to the building. An atrium-like room lets in plenty of light and helps create beautiful shadows on the walls.

Ceylon Yellow is the new 2023 trend colour

The new fall collection consists of 10 new styles and features a new strong colour addition – the Ceylon Yellow – made to make the wearer really stand out from the crowd. Applied on the thinner frames, the colour adds a strong accent to the glasses.

70-80s inspiration with a twist
This season’s news takes the inspiration from the 70-80s. In particular, the deep squarish feminine designs are prominent in this season. Paired with strong colours like the Mulberry Pink colour or the powerful Ceylon Yellow the frames stands out. Here are some of the frames from this seasons collection.

FORNALUTX FX19
80s-inspired frame with 3-dimensional effects and in the powerful Ceylon Yellow colour.

ANDRATX AD20
Available in both sunglasses and optical. The Andratx glasses have a distinctive 80s vibe to them.

SAINT TROPEX TZ19
It’s hip to be square, again! Deep, square and very much a new interpretation of the 80s.

TUSK TU04
Thin rims, but very powerful in Mulberry Pink. The Tusk glasses really makes you stand out from the crowd.

No screws – 3D printed in Denmark
All Monoqool frames are 3D printed in Denmark. The frames are ultra-lightweight – down to only 4 grams, and are made without any screws or any kind of soldering. The glasses are made with SLS 3D printing technology which helps reduce the material waste to only 2%. The result are frames produced ‘close to home’ in a very sustainable way.
