Following its acclaimed debut at SILMO 2025, the NIRVAN JAVAN ZURICH collection now reveals its full visual and conceptual depth.

With new imagery and refined storytelling, the collection steps out of the exhibition hall and into sharper focus, allowing its design language, materiality, and architectural intent to be fully experienced.

ZURICH is not a continuation, it is an evolution. The collection marks a decisive shift in how NIRVAN JAVAN approaches form, construction, and surface, without abandoning the restrained elegance that defines the brand.

When 3D Printing Becomes a Design Tool

At the heart of the Swiss engineered 3D printed eyewear concept lies SLS technology, enabling structures that traditional acetate or metal could never realistically support. Rather than using technology as a novelty, NIRVAN JAVAN applies it with restraint and precision, allowing design to lead and engineering to follow.

The frames reveal complex groove structures that are not applied or decorative, but fully integrated into the printed form itself. These grooves create rhythm, shadow, and tactile depth, turning the surface into an architectural element rather than a flat skin.

This approach allows the collection to feel both technically advanced and visually calm, a balance rarely achieved in additive manufacturing.

Precision, Without Screws

One of the defining achievements of the ZURICH collection is its screwless hinge system, developed and engineered in Switzerland. Functionally and structurally innovative, this hinge solution removes visual noise while maintaining durability and alignment.

Paired with stainless steel temples finished with PVD coating, the frames gain a refined contrast between printed structure and metallic precision. The anti-fingerprint finish adds a subtle but practical layer of refinement, reinforcing the idea that innovation should improve both experience and longevity.

Custom cellulose-based temple tips complete the construction, offering comfort while subtly softening the technical character of the frame.

Matte Black, Reimagined

NIRVAN JAVAN’s signature matte deep black has long been central to the brand’s identity. In the ZURICH collection, this familiar tone takes on a new presence through PA12, revealing unexpected depth and softness under changing light conditions.

Rather than absorbing light entirely, the surface now interacts with it, emphasizing contours, grooves, and edges. The result is a black that feels richer, more dimensional, and unmistakably contemporary.

Built in Culture, Moving Forward

True to its philosophy of being engineered in Switzerland and built in culture, NIRVAN JAVAN continues to expand the ZURICH universe. In collaboration with a renowned Zurich-based designer, five additional models are currently in development, scheduled for release in spring 2026.

These upcoming designs promise to push the collection even further, exploring new proportions while staying anchored in the same disciplined design language.
