Opti // Preparation with industry representatives

Strategic expansion of the event and networking with the industry and ophthalmic optics: opti 2024 brings the branch together and developed further the trade fair concept for this purpose at a roundtable meeting in Frankfurt with selected industry representatives.

“The feedback was overwhelming!”

Cathleen Kabashi, head of opti in Munich, is pleased about the premiere of opti ROUNDTABLE in Frankfurt/M at the beginning of July. Her team ventured into a completely new format: 40 industry representatives sat down at one table and openly discussed the various wishes and expectations of opti as an international industry trade fair.

In cooperation with a trade magazine, this resulted in a creative, high-caliber exchange of ideas. However, opticians, manufacturers, trade media, associations, further education and training institutions all agreed: opti is an indispensable industry networking platform that offers opportunities for success for everyone.

“Wow! opti ROUNDTABLE has proven to be a productive platform for exchanging opinions and ideas. The commitment and dedication we have seen from all participants and attendees is encouraging. The requirements for the trade fair concept are complex. The heterogeneity of protagonists’ needs is an exciting challenge. There is clear agreement that opti is an indispensable industry networking platform that offers opportunities for success for everyone. We are taking on board the many innovative ideas from the ROUNDTABLE and working on their implementation. We are opti – I am excited, impressed and enriched.

Cathleen Kabashi

head of opti, Opti Munich

Chairwoman of Consumer Optics at SPECTARIS, Mirjam Rösch, spoke of a noticeably intense spirit of optimism that would continue after the event for the positive success of the upcoming trade fair:

“The 40 participants from today are infected by this day and the opti spirit – and they carry this spirit further into their environment.” It became very clear that the optical industry stands behind its opti. Particular significance is attached to the promotion of young talent.

“Thanks to the openness for ideas, the listening and the implementation strength shown once again in Frankfurt, the opti team will certainly develop opti 2024 once again into the meeting place for owners and employees and the new generation of the industry, not only but especially for the German-speaking region. Manufacturers and service providers who fail to generate enthusiasm for their innovations and companies at opti 2024 are missing out on an opportunity for customer loyalty and acquisition. We will be there again with all students and are already very much looking forward to innovations, trends, good discussions and also parties.”

Dr. Anna Nagl

Professor, Aalen University

“It was very nice to experience that despite different arguments regarding implementation, everyone has one goal: The opti! We want it!”

Sabine Siegmund

Founder, Siegmund Augenoptik & Hörakustik

“This exchange format not only provides content for the trade fair organiser, but also brings added value for all participants: new contacts as well as fresh insights into one’s own industry and the trade fair business.”

Klaus Plaschka

Managing Director, GHM
