Silmo Eyewear Exhibition Vlog Part 3 l Exploring KUBORAUM, TheoEyewear & More

The Optical Gallery’s exploration of Silmo 2023 comes to a close, with their final vlog instalment. This episode kicked off with an exclusive look at Modo Eyewear, a company dedicated to pioneering sustainability and environmental responsibility. With four distinctive brands under their umbrella, including Modo and Eco Eyewear. Their minimalistic, lightweight styles and innovative manufacturing methods have set a new standard in the industry. Nik’s exclusive interview with Modo’s CEO, Giovanni, shed light on the brand’s latest Modo release from their ‘Legacy’ collection, using HD ‘High Density’ acetate making their new frames as thin as 2.6mm thick.

The journey continued with a spotlight on the visionary eyewear brand, Kuboraum. Nik captures a rare interview with one of the founders, Sergio Eusebi, who discusses the culture behind the brand that seamlessly blends the worlds of art, music festivals, and fashion into its very essence. Dreamed in Berlin and meticulously handcrafted in Italy, Kuboraum’s frames transcend mere eyewear, embracing the transformative power of masks to redefine personal identity. Sergio showcases the new ‘Ryzen’ collection, Kuboraum’s take on the ‘sports visor’.

Moving on, The Optical Gallery team stopped by the bustling stall of Theo Eyewear, a perennial favourite among the collections within their galleries. While they missed meeting the Somers family behind the brand, UK ambassador Monica was on hand to showcase the latest collections and limited edition masks, leaving an indelible mark of excellence and innovation.

As the day drew to a close, the team bid adieu to Silmo 2023, already anticipating their return the following year. Despite a slight delay in their journey back to Kings Cross, the excitement and inspiration garnered from this year’s exhibition remained palpable.
