SNOB Milano // New Clip-On collection

SNOB Milano presents a 2022 collection that features several innovative research perspectives underpinning the key-styles. The range includes SPORT GT, the first sporty prescription eyewear with interchangeable magnetic clip-ons, CABRIOLET, which mounts a plastic clip-on frame made of the same material, and the two “18-gram” capsules in the sun collection and “Titanio” – all in the clip-on category. Also new this season is the decision to fit ZEISS Sunlens, climate-friendly lenses with low environmental impact.

Clip-ons with a Sporty attitude.

A subtle wraparound design and richer in technical features than the other models in the collection, SPORT GT features a double magnet on each side that holds a more generously shaped shade mask that extends beyond the host frame. The double magnet has a dual function: it’s the technical feature that magnetically secures the ample shades to the glasses, but it is also an aesthetic detail, a stylistic for this significant collection newcomer.

Dedicated to sports enthusiasts, SPORT GT debuts with a special pack that includes two interchangeable lenses with different functional characteristics: the first, chosen from the ZEISS Sunlens sports collection developed in collaboration with professional athletes to protect and improve vision in sporting activities, enhance contrast, while the second, manufactured by Carl Zeiss Vision, is a specific lens for low light conditions, the perfect balance of fashion and performance.

Colour, please.

Twelve colour variants, some more sober and traditional, others more brazenly unconventional, feature in the CABRIOLET model, the other major innovation of the season launched by the Milan brand. Indeed, it’s the first time that SNOB Milano combines a plastic clip
with a frame of the same material. These eyeglasses have a strong personality, a linear shape and a timeless style. The choice of colour for the magnetic solar clip-on gives it an extra twist and appeals to everyone, from the bold to lovers of classic style.

Titanium.

The Anniversary celebration model, made of titanium and offered in a limited and exclusive edition last season to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the manufacturer, the historic Franco Sordelli, received overwhelming acclaim and exceeded everyone’s expectations: a challenge won by the Milan-based brand that specialises in plastic materials. This season therefore marks the official debut of a capsule centered on titanium in the clip-on collection. Two shapes have been chosen for the debut, a pantos and a slightly more square outline, with the iconic names: SPECIAL ONE and SPECIAL II.

Completing the clip-on collection, they have JOHN, a round metal model, a new edition of the iconic FBL, now renamed FBL NOEUV, VOT, which owes its name to the fun octagonal design of the frame, and two very feminine and glamorous models: GAT, in metal and with a delicate cat-like shape, and MILF LUX, the star of the new campaign’s female photo shots.

Their new ultra-light sunglasses have fun shapes, witty names and plenty of character. Their names: DRECC, QUADRATIN, COEUR, RODOND and TONDIN. The stars of the summer season feature a playful and ironic lens design associated with colour-block hinges, a technical detail, but also a stylistic quirk in true SNOB Milano style.
