We conclude this years list of “Amazing German Brands” with MILO & ME, a brand that makes cool eyewear for cool kids in the age group 3 to 15 years. Their frames are sturdy, lightweight and super flexible. Moreover, they are tough, they have trendy colors and they look great on everyone!

Once started with 5 models Breitfeld & Schliekert‘s kids eyewear collection Milo & Me has turned out to be a real want have brand. Within 3 years the range has increased up to 10 models with 12 fancy color combinations. From this year on (2020), they even carry internationally accepted and easy memorable names such as Charly, Kim or Robin. Due to the excellent material characteristics without plasticizers and the attractive price-performance ratio they have become a worry-free package for all opticians, No wonder that more than 3.000 opticians in Germany alone, which carry the brand in their regular product portfolio for kids eyewear.

The brand appeals to opticians, parents and kids.

Parents: because the stylish eyewear is affordable at around € 80 only.
Kids:
because the frames can handle all children’s’ daily activities with no worry due to flexible, extremely bendable TR90 frame material
Opticians: because they consist of plasticiser free TPE material, which is a good argument for conscious parents. Moreover, because they are easily glazeable. Including case, microfibre bag, anti-slip temple ends and headband.

Brand story

In 2017 two marketing employees at Optiplus (Dutch eyewear wholesaler and part of the Hilco Vision group) observed that a lot of kids who were wearing glasses were very careful during their play in order not to damage their glasses. While jumping on the trampoline, skating, and sporting, these kids were quite limited in their game. This was the moment the idea of Milo & Me was born: Giving kids the freedom to play worry-free by creating strong, flexible and comfortable eyewear. Kids should feel free to move, play around and simply have fun. And above all: feel good about wearing glasses!

The German product development team of Breitfeld & Schliekert (also part of the Hilco Vision group) took up the idea and together with a Scandinavian design team they started to design flexible, lightweight, strong and cool frames for kids and teens. The range offers a solution for every child’s taste – be it a dreamer, an explorer, a rock star, a cute princess, a sports champignon, a ballet dancer or a little lion.
