Paloceras Hydroceras

Sculptual 3D printed eyewear design

One of the coolest upcoming brands i discovered at Silmo Paris 2025, was Paloceras, who unveiled Hydroceras, a limited edition eyewear collection that feels as if liquid has been frozen mid-motion.

The collection’s two mesmerizing colorways, Cryosea and Noctyra, are shaped through digital sculpting, algorithmic design, and additive manufacturing, transforming the sensation of flowing water into tangible form.

Cryosea’s liquid blue recalls frozen oceans, while Noctyra’s liquid grey evokes the mysterious stillness of water at night, a balance between transparency and shadow.

A Dialogue Between Algorithms and Artisans

Behind the poetic concept lies a deep fusion of science and artistry. Each Paloceras Hydroceras frame is digitally generated using computational geometry and then refined by hand, merging technical precision with sensory design.

“With Hydroceras, we wanted to shape eyewear like a living current. It is about capturing movement, then slowing it down. It felt like stepping into a ritual, a conversation between algorithms and human intention, between fluidity and fixation. A ripple held in place, just before it disappears.”

Design Director, Paloceras

Where Digital Craftsmanship Meets 3D Printing Innovation

Made in Austria in collaboration with GENERA/Mission Eyewear, Paloceras Hydroceras represents the cutting edge of 3D printed eyewear design. The brand’s approach rejects mass production in favor of digital craftsmanship, embracing additive technology not for speed, but for creative freedom. Each frame is sculpted, not manufactured, proving that Paloceras limited edition eyewear can merge modern engineering with timeless artistry.

“Each frame begins as a sculptural gesture, digitally shaped, then rendered and refined. My work lives between organic flow and engineered geometry. Hydroceras is about transformation, with material holding memory and form holding time.”

While the debut batch of Hydroceras sold out almost immediately, Paloceras is already developing optical versions of the collection, expected to release in the coming months. Until then, the brand continues to shape the future of 3D printed eyewear design, inviting wearers to experience time suspended in form.

About Paloceras Eyewear

Paloceras is a Spanish eyewear brand that redefines contemporary design through the fusion of art, science, and digital craftsmanship. Each frame emerges from a world where geometry, technology, and emotion intersect, transforming eyewear into sculptural expressions of movement and form. Guided by algorithmic design and advanced 3D modeling, Paloceras explores the boundary between the organic and the engineered, creating pieces that feel both fluid and architectural.

What sets Paloceras apart is its commitment to innovation through form and materiality. Rather than following traditional eyewear aesthetics, the brand approaches design as a dialogue between digital precision and human emotion, allowing light, texture, and volume to play central roles. Every creation evokes the natural forces that inspire it, captured in a moment of stillness and transformed into wearable art.

Paloceras continues to push the frontier of independent eyewear, where design serves not only vision but imagination. Each limited-edition collection reflects a meticulous process of experimentation, artistry, and respect for modern technology.

Paloceras // Nouvelle Fiction Sun Steps Into Light

Paloceras // Nouvelle Fiction Sun Steps Into Light

Light behaves differently when it meets form with intention. With Nouvelle Fiction Sun, Paloceras takes its signature inflated volumes beyond the studio and into the open air. Color softens the structure, light defines the curves, and suddenly these sculptural objects become something else entirely, frames that feel almost weightless, yet impossible to ignore. It is eyewear that balances precision and play, where craftsmanship stays serious, but the experience becomes effortless.

Paloceras // Leopard Lace eyewear collaboration

Leopard Lace is where identity becomes form. In collaboration with Djibril Cissé, Paloceras introduces a limited edition eyewear capsule shaped through pressed acetate construction rather than traditional milling. Two optical frames, rooted in personal symbolism and refined for everyday wear, explore volume, structure, and permanence. Each individually numbered piece reflects a shared belief in eyewear as something lived, not styled.
