In May, our Made-In feature celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship of eyewear Made or Designed in Belgium, highlighting the unique vision, quality, and design sensibility that Belgian brands bring to the world of independent eyewear.

Our kick-off brand for this feature is Belgium-designed brand Wolfin Eyewear, with its bold statement against traditional beauty standards and a celebration of unapologetic individuality.

Founded by Inge De Muynck in 2020, Wolfin was born from decades of optical heritage and a desire to design frames that don’t just sit on a face but spark identity. With the empowering motto You too can shine“, the brand invites everyone—regardless of age, background, or gender—to step into their light.

Each Wolfin collection serves as a new chapter in a story of inclusivity, artistry, and soulful inspiration. The debut line, RISE, was directly inspired by Maya Angelou’s poem “Still I Rise,” setting the tone for designs steeped in emotion and message.

Most recently, the ROOTS collection dives into the mystical ambiance of Louisiana—evoking sultry southern nights, Cajun melodies, and the intoxicating rhythm of personal history. The palette echoes both the vibrant hues of Louisiana’s Creole houses and the inky shadows of its swamplands. A brooding, cinematic campaign drives the story home with visual poetry as evocative as the designs themselves.

A Designer With Deep Roots

Inge’s journey is more than entrepreneurial—it’s generational. Raised in Technop, her family’s well-known Belgian optical business, she combines technical expertise with her background as a jewellery designer to create eyewear that is both elegant and emotionally resonant.

Designed in Belgium and crafted in Italy, each frame embodies European quality with an uncompromising creative voice.
