New Digital Sourcing Platform Officially Launched during Vision Expo East 2021; Year-Round Marketplace Complements Vision Expo’s In-Person Shows

The Vision Council and RX, the organizers of Vision Expo, today announce that ShopVISION, a new global digital sourcing platform for the vision care community, is now live and available to eyecare providers 365 days a year. Following a successful platform launch at Vision Expo East 2021, which took place June 2–5, 2021 in Orlando, ShopVISION is now live for buyers to discover the latest products and trends, communicate with suppliers, and see content recorded at Vision Expo East.

ShopVISION currently features 240 brands and more than 2,500 products across diverse categories, including frames, lens processing, medical and diagnostic, and business and practice management.

Created in partnership with Balluun, the world category leader in business-to-business marketplace technology, ShopVISION is designed as a one-stop virtual marketplace and year-round global hub for buyers to connect with suppliers and source vision care products and services.

ShopVISION is designed with a powerful suite of features for seamless product discovery. Also housed on ShopVISION is Vision Expo+, a free digital extension of the Vision Expo Show experience that extends the reach of the in-person show to a global audience. Vision Expo+ will be offered again in conjunction with Vision Expo West, taking place September 22–25 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. During Vision Expo West, Vision Expo+ will feature a number of virtual experiences, including online showrooms from Vision Expo West’s exhibitors and live-streamed Vision Expo West content.

Registration for Vision Expo West will open in mid-July. With the city of Las Vegas fully reopened and returned to pre-pandemic guidelines as of June 1, the Show organizers are planning a robust line-up of events and programming. Vision Expo West will feature several new neighborhoods, in addition to the return of The Suites, as well as a rich CE program and the return of the OptiCon program and hub. Students and young professionals can also look forward to the return of The Career Zone and dedicated student programming. Additionally, The Seen, the main stage destination that made its debut at Vision Expo East, will host special events, panels and programming at Vision Expo West.
