The «Hall of Frames Weekend» in Lucerne, scheduled for mid-May, gets postponed. Due to the still uncertain situation, the organisers have decided to reschedule the premiere for next year. The ongoing uncertainty regarding further opening steps makes reliable planning impossible.
[perfectpullquote align=”left” bordertop=”false” cite=”Founder Nathanaël Wenger” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=”17″]According to the slogan ‘postponed is not abandoned, the first edition of the «Hall of Frames Weekend» will prospectively take place in the city of Lucerne in mid-May 2022.
We have done a lot of groundwork, such as setting up the electronic platform or acquiring partner hotels and companies in Lucerne. This work was not in vain. We will be able to build on it for the Hall of Frames Weekend 2022.[/perfectpullquote]
The new concept combines work and leisure. However, this requires that hotels and restaurants, as well as cultural venues, can resume their normal business activities.
At the moment it is unclear whether the restaurants will be fully open again in mid-May. Some of the partner hotels of the «Hall of Frames Weekend» will also remain closed until further notice.
From the beginning, it was clear to the organisers that it would not be easy to organise a completely new event in the current pandemic situation. Not planning anything and sitting out the pandemic, for the time being, was never an option. The credo was to face the uncertainty with flexibility. This also includes the option of postponing the event for a year.
After more than three years of total renovation, the Zurich Convention Centre will reopen in the summer of 2021. The «Hall of Frames» will be one of the first events in the newly renovated Convention Centre on September 12 & 13, 2021. The event will take place in the ‘Gartensaal’ in the familiar form of a tabletop fair.
The long-established concept depends on significantly fewer external factors than the «Hall of Frames Weekend». Accordingly, one can expect that the «Hall of Frames» will take place in September as planned.
