Annaliese is challenging the elements, well at least three of them, while dancing in the rain and wearing these two amazing frames by Neubau Eyewear. The bold, cheerful and sophisticated cat-eye “Heidi“, a super thin and lightweight frame, created out of recycled stainless steel, and the superb, brave, and handsome “Franz“, a Masculin aviator style in the same design language as his cat-eye sister.

For NEUBAU EYEWEAR, the year 2021 is all about “Changing the Perspective”. Ever since it was established, the Austrian eyewear label has been putting people and the planet at the forefront of everything it does. Its clear attitude and mission of bringing together excellent design with sustainable and technological innovation have made the brand a trailblazer.

With a focus on respect for nature and its resources, NEUBAU has been inspired by the 4 elements, using the paradox of nature’s resilience and fragility to create expressive eyewear styles. In settings ranging from the warm glow of the desert to a green oasis, international models showcase the sustainable premium collections against the unmistakable backdrop of South Africa.

The striking visuals are the result of a collaboration with German fashion photographer Nadia von Scotti, who lives in South Africa. With the use of their 100 percent bio-based material natural3D in the Earth collection, the Austrian eyewear label is once again combining modern design and resource-efficient production with 3D printing. The first collection – Water – will be launched in January 2021.

In the four collections Water, Air, Fire and Earth, NEUBAU is conveying its clear attitude and streamlined vision for the year. The brand is presenting a mix of sunglasses and optical models that incorporate innovative design and avant-garde elements. High-quality, sustainable materials and soft color palettes are what set the styles apart.

While muted earthy tones, pastels and off-colors reflect the natural lightness and ease that the collection stands for, the frames impress with a minimalist, but expressive style. By using bio-based materials like naturalPX and natural3D, along with resource-efficient production methods, NEUBAU is once again emphasizing its own pioneering spirit. Timeless stainless-steel frames perfectly round off the collections. All designs combine flexibility, stability, resilience, durability, and comfort.
