MIC-Made in Cadore – New A/W collection

The majestic elegance of the Dolomites is once again the inspiration behind Tiziano Tabacchi’s designs for the new MIC-Made in Cadore Autumn/Winter 2018-2019 models.

The brand, which pays homage to the birthplace of eyewear, is presenting eleven new frames that enhance the successful collection launched at Mido 2018 and tell the story of a land, its force and beauty.

Nature, culture and emotion are therefore all elements entwined throughout the design of the eyewear which has clean, defined lines. The materials used are of the highest quality, acetate and metal in subdued and refined colours: gold or silver steel, even matte, and black and havana acetate in various shades of nature. Even the names of the models are inspired by this land of precious elements.

The distinguishing feature of the MIC-Made in Cadore collection is always in the metal hinge detail: an iconic symbol which in its simplicity evokes the outline of a mountain range.

Some of the most original new eyeglass models are Brina, a unisex frame with wide, rounded circles of acetate applied to a metal structure and Corteccia, a more masculine, panto-inspired model, again in a bi-material version. Both have the option of black or shades of brown, green or grey tortoise shell acetate.

For women there is the elegance of Goccia,a round, metal frame with the top extending slightly into a cat eye profile which is highlighted by the delicate application of acetate.

In the sun collection, Humus is ahead of the coming seasons’ trend: the mask shape is in fact coming back into fashion with a vengeance and MIC offers a wrap-around version with a wide, coloured lens. Radice, on the other hand, is a retro style frame in a modern interpretation: the acetate circles are joined by a metal structure with no bridge.

The new collection includes a special model dedicated to skiing: Sole, a technical sunglass with a light, wrap-around frame and lenses specifically designed for this sport by ZEISS, the very synonym of quality. This model pays homage to one of the most renowned and captivating skiing areas in the world.
