Markus T – Straight Pure Essential

As a scoop for TEF Magazine, Sophia got fitted with this super clean frame by MARKUS T, which was launched last week at Silmo. As the first person to actually wear this frame, Sophia took it out for a test drive in the streets of Manhattan. We loved the trendy geometric shapes combined with the pure minimalistic finish.

The M1076 frame is made out of their own developed synthetic material, called TMi. This makes the frame highly flexible yet durable and retaining its shape. In terms of the design, the frame picks up the latest trends: it’s a geometric shape, meeting today’s fashion styles. However, they took a step further by reducing the design to its essentials. It’s straight and it’s pure. All in all, an exciting appearance and at the same time typically MARKUS T.

Not just the reduced design language and the ultra light synthetic TMi, but also the huge colour variety make the ME Pur something special. In the innovative dye process, the colour pigments penetrate permanently and deep into the material and guarantee the optimum colour effect of translucent colours. Colours that underline the personality. Pure lightness – the new ME Pur.

The secret behind their ideas

„Any improvement possible?“ – that’s the question motivating MARKUS T to go beyond standards and to develop perfect technologies themselves. More and more steps of production were integrated under the roof of the manufacture in Gütersloh, Germany. There, within the walls of a former grain distillery, the design label created a space for creativity and inventive minds. That’s how MARKUS T frames are created in a transparent manufacture to 100 percent handmade in Germany. Without being limited by any conventions. Since an independent manufacture is the freedom, to realize the brand’s various own ideas and to meet demands even faster. Behind this stands a team that shares the passion for design and perfection. And the talent, to reduce things to their most essential and truly beautiful. Because in simplicity lies beauty.
