Dedicated to sportsmen and women who challenge high peaks and open seas, the Nyad is a trusted ally in all weather conditions. The new eyewear is available with three different types of lenses for sun and impact protection, and two optical solutions for those needing correction. It is equipped with removable side shields, providing additional protection from the sunlight when needed.

For high-altitude enthusiasts, there are the RP Optics Hi-Altitude, category 4 static lenses, which offer impenetrable protection against the intense high mountain sun, and the ImpactX Photochromic 2 Laser Crimson, which boast a dynamic range, switching from category 2 to 4 in response to changing mountain light, ensuring clear vision in all conditions. Water sports enthusiasts, on the other hand, can opt for the Polar 3FX lenses, in grey and red, designed to defeat glare, eliminate reflections on the water surface and enhance contrasts during marine activities.

For the all-round athlete, additional lenses such as RP Optics Smoke Black and Multilaser Green offer universal protection and performance. The ImpactX Photochromic 2 Black and Laser Purple lenses, thanks to their light-adaptive technology, adapt perfectly to all environmental and sporting conditions, making Nyad an ideal companion for every discipline and challenge.

The frame of the glasses is made of Rilsan®, a polymer derived from castor oil. This material not only makes production sustainable, but also guarantees an incredibly strong, light and flexible frame weighing only 30 grams.

Customisation is at the heart of Nyad’s design. Thanks to the wide range of lenses available, users can choose the perfect combination to suit their needs and preferences. Below is an overview of the available options.

IMPACTX PHOTOCHROMIC LENSES

ImpactX, an exclusive Rudy Project patent, is the latest frontier in photochromic protective lenses: it adapts instantly to light variations, offering impeccable vision in any condition; has a wide range of colors; enhances eye protection (the lens is so resilient it can be folded without breaking), comfort, and style. It has tremendous durability. This lens is also available in the ImpactRX corrective version and comes in three versions:

– 2Laser Purple
– 2Laser Crimson
  (particularly suitable for high mountains, with category 2-4 filters)

POLAR 3FX POLARIZED LENSES

The glare reduction capability makes the Polar 3FX lenses particularly suitable for water sports. Available in two versions:

RP OPTICS LENSES

RP Optics are colored polycarbonate lenses for universal use, always providing clear and precise vision with a more pronounced quality-price ratio. Available in three versions:

– Smoke Black

OPTICAL CORRECTION SOLUTIONS

The optical solutions available on this model are two: ImpactRX, with a corrective lens on the eyewear, and the optical insert, designed for a lower cost and to correct very pronounced visual defects. Rudy Project provides an extensive network of optical stores where you can receive advice and possibly have prescription sports eyewear made.

The price varies depending on the chosen lens, from 129.90 euros for the RP Optics smoke black lens to 199.90 euros for the polarized Multilaser Red lens with HDR.
