Must-See brands!
At Silmo Paris
Next Friday, Silmo Paris will re-open its doors, showing us the latest in eyewear design.
As always, we have created a little list of the Must-See brands, which are really worth a visit! Brands in a wide variety of categories, to match anyone’s desires:

The award-winning brand Leinz Contemporary Eyewear Berlin launches its first sun clips at Silmo.
Their sun clips are produced from the renewable raw material of castor beans. From nature, the material is flexible and allows their clips to be easily pulled over the front.
Their amazing designer achieved to bring exciting colour contrast to her frames, by using a plug-in mechanism that joins the two separate pieces. Bringing emotion and high quality into high-tech SLS-3D printed products is one of the main goals of the brand.
Sustainability is one of Leinz’s basic principles. A resource-saving approach is a guiding value in the development of all their processes and products.

Be sure to visit British eyewear designers Kirk and Kirk this year, to see their nominated frame design for a Silmo d’Or in the Monture Optique, Créateur Lunetier category. They will be showcasing their Centiles, Centena and Kaleidoscope collections, including this year’s nominee, Thor in Citrus.
Synonymous with their exciting colour palette and their unique hand-made acrylic frames, Jason and Karen Kirk bring a collection that allows independent opticians to distinguish themselves from their competitors.
Did you know that it’s a hundred years since Sidney and Percy Kirk opened their first retail store in Londo? Not far from the same site, Kirk & Kirk have opened a pop-up store which is the focus of a great deal of media attention. Their Silmo stand echoes this London pop-up, including the latest in try-on technology.

Our friends at W-Eye know all about woodworking, and use a design perspective that starts looks into various materials before arriving at the construction of the actual frame. Their eyewear is composed of seven sheets of wood and two sheets of aluminum, with a completely in-house craft process, for a 100% handmade in Italy production.
Their project focuses on the stability and comfort of their frames with the possibility of customising the glasses in size of the front, nose, and temples, and of course, various wood essences or various materials. This includes treated copper foil, brushed aluminum, or the application of cans, a low-energy recycling idea.
