With its B1, Lunor launches a unique birthday collection made of buffalo horn
A lot has happened at Lunor since its foundation in the year 1991! Founded with the vision of manufacturing frames “made in Gemany” of masterful craftsmanship and made of high-quality materials, Lunor is looking back on 30 years of history producing numerous spectacles icons today. At least since Apple founder Steve Jobs made the Lunor Classic Round a cult object, everybody has been talking about the brand – not just the connoisseurs. Style aesthetes from around the world rely on the clean and timeless design of the exclusive manufacture from the northern Black Forest.
Now here is the next coup of the quality manufacturer: For its anniversary, Lunor launches the B1 collection, and, for the first time, completely relies on the natural material buffalo horn. The extravagant material makes every frame unique, provides highest wearing comfort, and is entirely characterized by the sustainability concept of the spectacles manufacture.
Handcrafted, unique, and individual
The B1 becomes an individual accessory mainly due to its unique tinge: The extraordinary quality and individual color structure of the natural material make each frame unique. Manufactured in fine handicraft, the natural horn spectacles are polished in Germany. They are then rivetted with the characteristic double rivet hinge through the multilayered horn material, which is unique on the market. The rivet hinge is not just a trademark by Lunor but also stands for manufacture quality designed for durability. And best of all: Buffalo horn reacts to warmth, so the frame adapts to the shape of the head of its wearer over time. This ensures perfect and comfortable fit making the spectacles a very personal companion.
Buffalo horn: A material in harmony with nature
It is no coincidence that buffalo horn has been chosen to be the material for this anniversary collection – after all, it combines the best features with a resource-efficient production. Horn of the Indian water buffalo is exclusively used for manufacturing these spectacles. It is kept as a domestic and working animal in Asia, and extremely valuable for its owners. The animals are protected and held in high esteem accordingly – the horns are not processed until after the natural death of the animals. In addition, the waste produced in processing the material can be used as natural fertilizer.
This natural material is predestined for manufacturing spectacles because it is extremely light and pleasantly warm next to the skin. This produces hardly any accumulating heat and provides a secure grip of the frame. Moreover, buffalo horn scores with its antiallergic qualities.
The correction frames are available in two panto shapes and one anatomic shape in the color variants Horn Black, Horn Light Brown and Horn Brown Spotted.
