I have to admit, this doesn’t really look like the scene of our Pittsburgh TEF shoot, but some of us were lucky enough to get an early holiday. Some months back, Erika was enjoying some Cayman Island sun, wearing this timeless, yet elegant aviator by KATA Eyewear. This “Tycoon” sunglass is constructed in Japanese titanium that has propriety engraving detail on the bridge, end piece and temples.
As with all KATA frames, their Italian acetate temple tips are finished with titanium end-capping adorned with the signature KATA triangles. The KATA Tycoon elevates the classics by providing lightweight luxury, glare reduction, and timeless elegance in eyewear.
About the brand
KATA looks to bring authenticity by offering a modern spin on vintage styling with classic, retro shapes. The exclusive brand perseveres by continually building on proprietary designs and patterns that are visible throughout the collection, creating a notable theme of luxe wearable quality that the industry has come to expect from Design Gallery.
The unique styling of the KATA collection speaks to the craftsmanship, and the quality of materials are a priority. The use of Japanese and Italian acetates paired with 100% titanium can be realized in most styles. With some models, attention to detail includes nose pads, end caps and temples tips adorned in titanium. The pairing of innovative colorations with the bespoke design is a characteristic strength of the KATA collection, hence, color becomes an important factor of style creation. Authenticity is a process. Every style, in every color within the KATA Collection has reason for being.
