ARHLO
British Eyewear With a Rebellious Edge
British eyewear brand ARHLO is preparing for its international debut at SILMO Paris 2026, where Eyespace will unveil the brand’s most ambitious collection to date.
A major expansion of its optical range, an entirely new sunglass collection and a renewed identity built around a distinctly British point of view.
The launch marks a significant next step for ARHLO British eyewear, already established within independent practices across the UK. For Paris, Eyespace is widening the collection considerably, introducing 18 optical models across 52 SKUs alongside 12 new sunglass styles across 36 SKUs. But the bigger story is the character behind the collection.
British Tradition Meets Rebellion
ARHLO draws from two very different sides of Britain.
One is rooted in heritage: tartan, herringbone, Harris Tweed, tailoring traditions and craftsmanship designed to endure. The other comes from street culture, music and youth movements: Camden, Glastonbury and the rebellious energy of 1990s Britpop.
ARHLO deliberately brings those worlds together. Classic meets rebellious. Carefully made meets spontaneous. Traditional references are given a more modern and expressive character, creating a form of British designer eyewear that feels connected to the past without being trapped by it.
The brand describes this attitude with the line “Properly Irreverent”, but in simpler terms it is about taking British tradition and giving it a rebellious twist.
“ARHLO is born from the tension that defines Britain, where heritage meets rebellion and tradition collides with creativity.
“The new collection takes its influence from the music, fashion and culture that have shaped British identity, creating eyewear with individuality at its core.”
British Eyewear Rooted in Culture
Even the model names reinforce that cultural connection.
The new ARHLO sunglasses borrow their names from the stages and fields of Glastonbury, including Pyramid, Avalon, Left Field and Worthy.
The optical collection looks instead towards London, with names including Vyner, Tredegar Square, Mile End and Shoreditch.
It is a subtle but effective way of linking the new eyewear collection to places associated with British music, fashion and creative culture.
That same thinking continues throughout the frame design. Bespoke hinges, patterned core wires and tartan-inspired tip etching form part of the recurring ARHLO eyewear design language. Sunglass lenses feature a subtly etched ARHLO shield, while interior engravings are colour-filled to coordinate with the corresponding plating.
These details are not designed to overpower the frame. Instead, they create recognisable signatures that give the collection its own identity.
For Eyespace Eyewear, this launch is not simply about adding more frames. It is about giving ARHLO a stronger and more recognisable identity.
The combination of British cultural references, fashion-led colour, distinctive detailing and a considerably larger product offer gives the brand more depth than before while keeping individuality at its core.
“This evolution has given us the opportunity to define what ARHLO stands for. We have created a visual identity that respects British heritage whilst speaking with the voice of today.”
That mix of old and new is ultimately what gives ARHLO its character.
It is not traditional heritage eyewear, nor is it simply chasing trends. Instead, the collection brings together British tailoring, street culture, music and subculture in a way that feels more expressive and contemporary.
ARHLO at SILMO Paris 2026
The complete new ARHLO optical and sunwear collection will make its international debut at SILMO Paris 2026 on 25 September.
Pre-orders opened through Eyespace on 7 September, ahead of the Paris presentation.
For ARHLO, SILMO represents the moment the brand steps onto the international stage with a clearer identity, a broader collection and a distinctly British character designed to travel well beyond Britain itself.
