MOREL Esperluette Bold // A Collector’s Line

MOREL Esperluette Bold

A limited edition with a line of its own

The first impression of MOREL Esperluette Bold is all line. A black, continuous gesture moves around the lenses, loops at the corners and turns the ampersand into something almost sculptural.

Created within the MOREL Constance Guisset collection, this limited-edition frame carries the poetic rhythm of the collaboration with immediate presence, character and display power.

First unveiled at SILMO Paris 2025, the collaboration between MOREL and Constance Guisset introduced an eyewear universe shaped by softness, movement and calligraphic rhythm. It was a meeting between French eyewear craftsmanship and a designer known for her ability to bring poetry into everyday objects, without losing sight of function, comfort or wearability.

In this collection, curves and rounded shapes are not decorative afterthoughts. They are the foundation of the design language. Thick and thin strokes, inspired by the movement of handwriting, travel through the frames with a sense of flow, giving each model its own visual punctuation.

A Collector’s Piece for Opticians

Now, MOREL brings the most iconic expression of this creative dialogue into sharper focus. MOREL Esperluette Bold is being released as a Constance Guisset limited edition, available through the brand’s B2B platform in only 150 numbered pieces.

Each frame carries the delicate signature of Constance Guisset on the temple tip, turning the model into something more personal and more collectible. It is a frame made for opticians who understand the value of a true statement piece, not only as a product on display, but as an object that can immediately create desire.

The design was originally conceived as the visual emblem of the collection. In its limited-edition form, Esperluette Bold becomes almost like a small piece of wearable design, a frame that does not ask permission to be noticed.

The Ampersand as a Signature

The name Esperluette refers to the ampersand, and that symbol becomes the quiet signature of the frame. Its decorative end pieces echo the looping movement of the character, while the almond-shaped front brings drama, elegance and a strong sense of identity.

There is something instantly expressive about this frame. It has presence before it even reaches the face. The line appears to move continuously, almost as if it has been drawn in one fluid gesture, creating an endless loop that guides the eye around the design.

This is where the MOREL Constance Guisset collection feels most expressive. The frame does not simply borrow from calligraphy, it behaves like calligraphy. It carries rhythm, pressure, balance and release. The result is eyewear that feels both graphic and soft, bold and refined.

A Frame That Speaks for Itself

With MOREL Esperluette Bold, the line becomes the message. Its sculptural shape, its signature details and its limited availability all contribute to a sense of rarity, but the real strength lies in its clarity. This is a frame with character, made for wearers who are not interested in disappearing into the background.

For opticians, the limited edition offers more than a beautiful sunglass. It offers a way to show the artistic possibilities of eyewear, especially when a heritage manufacturer and a contemporary designer meet with mutual respect for form, comfort and imagination.

In a market where many frames still play it safe, MOREL Esperluette Bold reminds us that eyewear can still carry a sense of wonder. Sometimes, all it takes is one uninterrupted line, looping through the gaze, to turn a frame into a story.
