This surely is one of the coolest frame designs I found at Silmo 2025, and it’s dubbed “Scorpion” for its articulated temple design, the original frame quickly became a symbol of J.F. Rey’s avant-garde aesthetic, merging technical ingenuity with sculptural form. Its kinetic structure and striking silhouette embodied the spirit of “Beyond Limits” long before the phrase became the brand’s signature.

The ICONIC40 edition reimagines this eyewear legend through refined materials, lighter ergonomics, and modernized geometry. Four distinctive colorways, each limited to 400 individually numbered pieces, reinterpret the Scorpion’s daring design language. Among them, a glossy silver version nods respectfully to the original 2007 model, while the others explore the brand’s signature two-tone palette.
