The Optical Women’s Association (OWA) marked another milestone for global collaboration with its Global Connection Event at SILMO Paris, titled “Seeing Beyond: The Power of Women in Optical Innovation.”

Held on September 26th, 2025, at the SILMO Talks Stage, the event gathered professionals and visionaries from around the world to celebrate women’s growing influence in shaping the optical industry’s future.

Chaired by Nancy Gries, Head of the OWA International Expansion Committee, the panel featured three inspiring leaders: Olga Prenat of EssilorLuxottica, Kivilcim Erdogan of Bausch & Lomb, and Atissa Tadjadod of Silhouette. Opening remarks were shared by Amélie Morel, President of SILMO and Director of Communications for MOREL, setting the tone for an empowering exchange of ideas around innovation, AI, sustainability, and vision health.
