The 23rd edition of the Wenzhou Optics Fair (WOF 2025) delivered a powerful message to the eyewear world: Asia is not just rising, it’s leading. With the theme “Intelligent Connectivity, Vision for the Future,” this year’s edition shattered previous records, bringing together the best of innovation, sustainability, and international business in a truly global setting.
Held at the Wenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center, WOF 2025 reinforced its role as the most influential event in the Asian eyewear industry, offering a full-spectrum showcase of everything from smart technology and frame design to eco-friendly materials and production solutions.
Eight Halls of Innovation
With over 750 exhibitors spread across eight themed halls, the fair offered a vast and curated display of the eyewear supply chain in motion. Key Chinese production zones such as Shenzhen, Xiamen, Dan Yang, and Wenzhou stood side by side with international exhibitors, presenting the full spectrum of frames, lenses, accessories, smart machines, and optical packaging.
A standout innovation this year was the launch of Hall 9 – the “Ready Goods Hall,” a first for an Asian eyewear industry fair. Retailers and distributors rushed in for immediate stock purchases, proving that fast procurement and direct business are the future of global eyewear trade shows.
Record-Breaking Attendance on a Global Scale
WOF 2025 saw 22,000+ professional visitors, including more than 2,000 international buyers from 100+ countries and regions, making it a truly global eyewear trade show.
The introduction of Buyer-Supplier Matchmaking Sessions turned potential into action. With curated one-on-one meetings, exhibitors sealed deals with international partners in real time—strengthening supply chains, opening new markets, and reinforcing WOF’s position as a vital gateway for export-ready Chinese eyewear brands.
Eco-Conscious Innovation Leads the Way
This year’s edition also embraced its responsibility to the planet. The Sustainable Material & Eyewear Booth highlighted the industry’s shift toward green materials, low-emission production, and recyclable packaging.
By showcasing bioplastic frames, upcycled acetates, and solar-powered finishing systems, WOF 2025 proved that the Asian eyewear industry is fully aligned with global ESG values and ready to lead the charge toward a more sustainable future.
Looking Ahead: Two Shows, One Vision
As the dust settles in Wenzhou, all eyes turn toward Southeast Asia. From October 9–11, the next chapter begins with the ASEAN Int’l Optical Fair in Bangkok. This new edition will carry the momentum of WOF 2025, spotlighting Southeast Asia’s fast-growing role in the global eyewear trade show ecosystem.
And of course, the countdown has already begun for the 24th Wenzhou Optical Fair, scheduled for May 8–10, 2026. Mark your calendars, because WOF is not just a trade show—it’s a movement.
