Scabal, long revered for its exquisite fabrics and sharp tailoring, partners with Lunetier Ludovic, the Belgian artisan known for his handcrafted eyewear, to create a series of limited-edition sunglasses. Each pair is sculpted by hand from genuine horn, a noble material famed for its natural variation and elegance.
The result? Sunglasses that not only look impeccable but are built to last. Finished with Hoya category 3 lenses, these frames offer exceptional optical clarity, anti-reflective coating on both sides, and full protection from bright sunlight—all without distorting natural color.

An Invitation To Experience Craftsmanship First-hand
To mark the launch of the collection, exclusive trunk shows will take place this spring in Scabal’s flagship boutiques in London, Brussels, and Geneva. These intimate events will give guests the rare chance to meet Lunetier Ludovic’s artisans and witness the artistry behind their frames. The collection will be available from April 8th, exclusively at Scabal stores in London, Brussels, Paris, and Geneva.

All of Lunetier Ludovic's frames are made by hand in his Brussels workshop which is part of the boutique. Only the finest materials are selected: buffalo horn, wood, gold, premium acetate, turtle shell, mother of pearl.
Lunetier Ludovic creations aim to suit their customers’ requirements and individual style. Each bespoke consultation starts with an invitation in the upstairs salon for a conversation on personal taste and preferences. Materials, forms, colours, and finishing are all discussed in detail. A series of precise measurements and photographs then go to the design department where a blueprint of the glasses is created.
In the second stage, clients can choose from a selection of frames designed to fit their unique needs and wishes. Each proposal is projected onto the client’s picture and comes with a cardboard cut-out to be tried on.
Master craftsmen and women spend multiple days creating, assembling, honing, and polishing each bespoke frame to ensure the best possible result and ultimate finishing. As a final touch, Lunetier Ludovic discretely engraves the bespoke glasses with the customer’s name or message on the inside of the temple arm for a truly unique and personalised result.
