Renowned for his celebrated roles in Hollywood and recognized as one of the industry’s most stylish leading men, Orlando Bloom is also a dedicated Porsche enthusiast. His deep appreciation for exceptional design, technical innovation, and functionality aligns seamlessly with the core values of Porsche Design, making this an ideal partnership.

As part of the new image campaign, Orlando Bloom showcases the iconic Chronograph 1 timepiece, along with seven selected models from the brand’s innovative sunglasses and prescription eyewear collections.

The 911 Among Watches

The highlight of the Timepiece campaign is the Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition, a model that pays homage to the heritage of the iconic Chronograph I, originally designed in 1972 by F. A. Porsche, the visionary behind the legendary Porsche 911.

As the first all-black chronograph, this timepiece revolutionized the watch industry, drawing direct inspiration from the dashboard of the Porsche 911. In 2022, it underwent a complete re-engineering before being reissued by Porsche Design, blending timeless design with modern precision engineering.

Like all Porsche Design Timepieces, this exceptional watch is crafted by hand at Porsche’s watch manufactory in Solothurn, Switzerland, where automotive engineering meets the art of Swiss watchmaking.

The campaign visuals, designed in the signature colors of black and red, mirror the aesthetic of the current Timepiece campaign. Captured alongside its source of inspiration, the legendary Porsche 911, these images showcase the fusion of performance, innovation, and timeless elegance.

A Visionary Collaboration

At the heart of the Eyewear campaign is one of the world’s most iconic eyewear designs—the legendary P’8478 model—accompanied by six additional sunglasses and prescription styles from the new 2025 Porsche Design Eyewear Collection.

Originally designed by F. A. Porsche in 1978, the Porsche Design P’8478 made history as the first-ever sunglass model to feature an interchangeable lens system. This groundbreaking innovation introduced a quick-release mechanism, allowing its teardrop-shaped 6-base curve lenses—available in multiple colors—to be effortlessly swapped for seamless adaptation to varying light conditions.

Precision-crafted from ultra-lightweight titanium and equipped with scratch-proof, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lenses, the P’8478 represents the perfect fusion of innovative design, performance, and durability—hallmarks of the Porsche Design legacy.
