Ørgreen Optics unveils the new Acetate Cut Collection: A masterpiece of minimalist, functional, colourful design
Ørgreen Optics, renowned for its innovative approach to eyewear, proudly announces the launch of its latest collection, Acetate Cut. This capsule collection of five styles embodies the perfect fusion of simplicity and functionality, bringing iconic features from its titanium collection and setting a new standard in contemporary eyewear.
A key feature of this capsule collection is the combination of monochromatic acetate fronts with titanium temples. The high-density acetate material allows for ultra-slim contours. Being sturdier than conventional material, this high-density acetate also enables more defined edges and a higher polish, enhancing the overall quality and finish of the designs.
The frames come in transparent and translucent tones, from loud and fun to refined, in polished, partially matte and fully satin finishes. This provides a sophisticated touch that nicely complements the metallic colour of the temples, highlighting their sleek, modern appeal.
Balancing the light-filled, vibrant acetate and the technical, precise titanium is an art form. The titanium temples ensure lightweight durability and a premium feel. The way they permeate the acetate is inspired by brutalist architecture. They also present a series of interesting details, such as a full ‘Ørgreen’ topside logo on one of the temples and a small ‘Ø’ at the end tip. The tips come in colourful acetate to complete the coloration of the fronts.
In this collection, the OBE spring hinges protect the acetate front from excessive forces in handling and prolong the life of the product. The frames offer exceptional comfort and durability, thanks to adjustable nose pad arms, a hallmark of the Ørgreen titanium lines and a feature which enhances the ergonomics of the frames.

A little more than two decades ago, three friends from Copenhagen - Henrik Ørgreen, Gregers Fastrup and Sahra Lysell - started their own eyewear label, Ørgreen Optics.
Their aim? Design timeless-looking frames for quality-conscious people across the globe. It’s been a long journey since 1997, but a worthwhile one as the brand now enjoys international fame.
The company currently has its headquarters in the beautiful Ørgreen Studios in the heart of Copenhagen with a separate office in Berkley, California which runs operations for the North American market.
