CIOF 2023: The insurmountable annual global optical event, a mecca for all exhibitors and visitors

CIOF 2023, the most sizeable optical trade fair in Asia, ended on a high note with a record number of visitors attending the three-day event. COOA has adhered to the original aspiration and mission of serving and promoting the development of the optical industry and making CIOF an important bridge connecting China’s optical industry and the world, enhancing global business transactions and exchanges, and initiating integration and innovation of our profession.

CIOF2023 proudly showcased 693 exhibitors in total in the span of September 11-13, 2023 at China International Exhibition Centre, Beijing (CIEC). CIOF2023 again showed off a mega gross exhibition area of 55,000 square metres, occupying all the 8 exhibition halls of CIEC, and the Grand Metropark Hotel. Brand promotion and the advocation of high technologies deployment were the themes of CIOF2023. She also marked 62,372 times of visiting, which was undoubtedly impressive amidst the global economic slowdown.

Hall 2 spotlights international brands Same as before, Hall 1 Level 1 was the prestige international product hall. Other halls are the showcase place for Chinese exhibitors. The international hall of this year’s CIOF gathered 100 exhibitors, displaying 190 global brands from 20 countries and regions and there were 593 Chinese exhibitors participated in the show.

Regarding international brands’ participation, a total of 25 Korean stylish eyewear brands were on display. Sizeable Korean wizards such as FakeMe, Hi-Vision, i-Codi, Holy Nara, Huvitz, Projekt Produkt, VYCOZ, etc. Apart from Korea, German brands also stole the limelight in CIOF2023, such as BMW, ByWP, Carl Zeiss, Cazal, Flair, ic! berlin, Lunor, Markus-T, Mita, Mykita, Rodenstock, Satisloh, Schneider, Stepper, Wolfgang Proksch etc. Reputed Japanese designer brands, in CIOF2023, the iconic names, to name a few, included 999.9, BJ Classic Collection, Masunaga, Matsuda, Mr. Gentlemen, Mr. Leight, Nativeson, Owden, Steady, TVR, etc.

Supported by international optical publications and exhibitions Media-wise CIOF 2023 has cooperated with Chinese and international optical publications, optical associations, and optical show-organizing counterparts to increase media exposure, including the following:

Let us meet up again at SIOF2024, March 11 – 13, Shanghai, the 22nd China (Shanghai) International Optics Fair. SIOF is another leading annual optical exhibition in Asia, and also a sizeable and influential optical exhibition in the world. About China International Optics Fair (CIOF)

CIOF is one of the two annual optical shows in China enjoying official endorsement and support. In China, official approval and sponsorship mean half a ticket to success. The shows are equipped with the right credentials: They are approved by the Ministry of Commerce and supported by the China National Light Industry Council. The latter is the authorized body supervising the light industry of the country. Optics is one of it. They are organized by the China Optometry & Optical Association (COOA), the body that governs the optical industry of China, and the Sinolight International Holdings Corporation (SIHC), the state-owned enterprise running international trade in China. Co-organized by Orient International Exhibition Co., Ltd. from Hong Kong. In fact, the dates of the shows fit perfectly into China’s bi-annual procurement seasons. Further, the shows are recognized by the Ministry of Commerce as “Distinguished Optical Exhibitions”.
