If there is one brand that is “Made in France” that I have known and loved for a very long time, it’s certainly Vue DC.
Ever since I met the passionate duo “Christian and Yolande”, a charismatic couple with unparalleled creativity, I have fallen in love with their beautiful designs, which just scream “Made in France”.
From the outset, Christian and Yoma have nourished their beautiful eyewear obsession in a motley artistic universe, Bauhaus, Art Déco, Pop Art, Rock… Since 2008, the muse and her alter ego have offered original collections, a touch of extravagance that unveils the personality.
The combination of their inspirations gave birth to collections which break the codes of the « trendy » eyewear to design frames with creative and timeless lines which delight the lovers of beautiful eyewear.
More than a brand, an art of vision…
The desire of the designers at French eyewear label Vue DC is to highlight each face, reveal each personality or style through our collection of optical frames and sunglasses. Their ambition is to create pieces with generous and imperious curves as well as subtle finishes, all orchestrated by the traditional French know-how.
For each model, they create the perfect balance between material and shaping process, depth and light, subtlety and robustness. The beauty of a detail, the depth of color, the subtlety of a volume are all embedded in each of their frames, through accurate craftsmanship and a constant search for a perfect match.
They devote particular attention to the excellence of materials and entrust the realization to manufacturers in Oyonnax, selected for their know-how. No less than fifty small goldsmith hands shape a Vue DC frame, thus transmitting all their technical skills.
VUE DC eyewear is entirely handmade in France. Olivier, the manufacturer, who became partner over time, refines the process, joining his savoir-faire to their creativity.
The production unit, based in Oyonnax, has been recognized for its High technicality and its commitment to the community, shown in its certification as «Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant» (Living Heritage Company).
The creation of a VUE DC collection is the fruit of a close collaboration in which everyone performs their precise role.
Yolande & Christian, two spirits from the world of optics, founded the brand Vue dc. which has evolved since its creation in 2009 by mixing design, elegance with French know-how. The House also focuses on the notions of transmission.
Christian, the brilliant maverick, emerged into the world of eyewear in ‘68. He draws lines, breaks conventions, and pushes the limits of production.
Yolande, the delicate artist, uses her skillful eye for exquisite materials and elegant colour palettes to perfect each collection.
Instead of adhering to fads and trends, VUE DC envisions bold, timeless designs for a clientele seeking to set themselves apart from the crowd.
