NO IDOLS shows its more sustainable version with the new SS21 sunglasses collection

The independent glasses brand born in Barcelona succeeds in finding the balance between quality, design, and ecology. With only 4 years of life, the brand has accomplished its objective of creating a new collection of sun 360º eco-friendly. In its creation has been used the most advanced ecological materials on the market and the environmental cost has been reduced to the maximum during the production. The new collection is made up of seven designs produced in different colors.  Some bestsellers from others collections have been reworked to an ecological version.

Founded in 2017 the independent glasses brand NO IDOLS, has made the definitive leap to sustainable production. Since birth, the CEO Àdam Balmas has run the company to an eco-friendly production without neglecting quality and design. From the glasses to the packaging passing through the case made by reused leather and the recycled polyester chamois. Everything is created to minimize the impact of the ecological footprint.

The organic and biodegradable acetate is the main material used in the collection. The introduction of this material in the production process, obtained mainly from plants and premium cotton fibers, avoid greatly the use of additives and quinic plasticisers. In this way, the use of fossil materials and the CO2 emissions are reduced during the production process. Furthermore, the classic plating of the metal models has been replaced by an innovative technique called eco plating. Through the use of this new technique, it is possible to not cast aside an extra waste derived from the production and, as a positive consequence, high consumption of water and energy is not needed. The paint employed to jazz up the designs is also ecological. In contrast to the synthetic dyes that destroy the ecosystems, the paint used in the new collection is free of lead and other pollutants.

The SS21 collection includes seven new models, all of them produced in different colors. Olivia, Camila y Miley take part in the woman’s new collection. Foster belongs to the man designs and Morgan, Bruno y Malik are a variety of unisex models. In addition, some bestsellers from others collections have been reworked to an ecological version.
