THEO // theo goes upstream”

“theo goes upstream”: with this motto the Belgian eyewear brand theo announces a new season of extraordinary designs. Guided by a nonconformist DNA, theo reveals three brand new families that emphasize the individuality of each wearer.

LAVALANDS, ARCHES and POTATOES ACETATE show the groundbreaking and unparalleled know-how of theo. The finishing touch to these new, atypical designs? An injection of the uniqueness and personal style of a wearer who dares to go upstream.

1 — LAVALANDS

When cool seawater collides with burning hot lava, unique volcanic islands emerge. Inspired by the raw encounter of these forces of nature, theo designed the LAVALANDS family. The contrary energies come to life with vibrant colors and forms in warm acetate and the coolness of steel.  The 5 models burst with pure power and thanks their names to a few famous volcanic islands: Santorini, Maui, Flores, Karukera en Aogashima. Every LAVALANDS-model is available in 8 contrasting theo colors and materials.  Prices starting from € 405,-

3 — ARCHES

To see the world in a different light is one of the core principles of the theo philosophy. The new family ARCHES was inspired by none other than Mother Nature as she patiently carves the most impressive arches around the world. Dramatic, fragile, elegant or colossal: the monumental arches create a new perspective on the landscape. theo tranlated these arches into a light titanium family of frames that improves or softens the shape of your brows.

In line with the majestic character of these natural arches, the five models Opara, Étretat, Aloba, Engetsu en Percé each offer a new way of looking at the world. Prices starting from € 435,-

2 — POTATOES ACETATE

The well-known POTATOES ACETATE family returns with its unique “flex-henge”. Cherished for its easy-to-wear frame, the family expands with brand new designs. The iconic formula receives a fresh alteration. The metal base is now unified with nylor. In combination with the circulair design touch, the new family gains an unexpected twist to the design.

In 8 typical theo colours the POTATOES ACETATE family is to everybody’s taste. De models Stamppot, Stoemp, Mash, Trinxat, Colcannon en Potatismos remain unique by the wearer’s own secret ingredient: a one-of-a kind personality.

Prices starting from € 420,-

About theo

Since 1987 theo has been testifying to the power of colour with nonconformist designs in endless colour combinations. A theo on your nose bridge means balancing an expressive and dynamic object that goes beyond its functional purpose. Whether one opts for a more sober design or a more dramatic design: each model has a playful twist.

A few years ago founder and father Wim Somers left the company to his three sons Mik, Jan and Toon. Meanwhile the Belgian brand has grown into a leading label in the world of optics.
