Kata – Nirvana

Happiness is provided by the little things in life, even this Asian-fit frame by Kata Eyewear can accomplish that. Walking around in her hometown Hong Kong, accompanied by her hubby Ben and their 2 adorable daughters, AND being able to wear a frame that will fit her Asian face type, makes Siu-Yin feel like she is free from pain, strain and the worries of life.


KATA’s model ‘Nirvana’ is a squatty square acetate frame with key hole bridge with metal capped end piece décor.  Its acetate temples are adorned with décor and additional Kata insignia metal caps on temple tips.


Many Asians still have issues finding a frame that will actually fit them. Their particular face type typically has a flatter nose bridge which is thinner at the top and then widens out towards the bottom, with higher cheekbones. Fortunately, more and more brands are aware of this “opportunity” and provide frames designed with specifically styled nose bridge, and slightly longer temples, providing a more stable 3-Point fit relationship to reduce nasal and temple pressure.
